inktober
I am working on a painting, 'Waiting', based on a scene in recorded in Paris. As it is Inktober, for a lark, I pulled out the old crowquill and went at it. My pen skills are rather rusty.
ure drawing, liked how folds FOLLOWED the gesture and reinforced the action. Thank the drawing gods for clothes. Great props, useful to the story. five minutes.
after drawing loose big shapes of fabric, I wanted to discuss how they also show up with altered scale and moved attachment points on tighter clothes, oh, and I aged the model progressively over the decades. He was not too pleased.
here are some demo drawings from my clothed figure class. this one utilizing a great old wool baseball uniform clothed model. Stretch folds as design and structure, as storytellers showing tilt of body for one point to the nest, and body location under the points....
