Here is a little old lady in Cortona, hauling wood for the winter, while still in summer heat. Planning ahead; Tina and I hope that she sees spring in 2011. From her demeanor, she may outlive us both. Italy is like that.

Thanks, Jason. She was gathering wood on a hot day, and was the tiniest thing. Really petite, great face, and doing the necessary things to prepare for Winter. Couldn't help BUT to paint her.
I'm sure she chopped that wood herself too... they made that generation out of steel. I'm held together with chewing gum and those wooden pegs you put IKEA furniture together with. Hoping there will be robots to get my firewood in the future.
