Sun Valley Jazz Festival, October 17-20, 2024. October and the leaves in Sun Valley turn yellow and orange, the elk are calling at all hours, and nearly colliding with your car at night. At Sun Valley Lodge, the musicians gather again for their annual ritual calling as well. It's always a pleasure  to witness such a ritual return and hear HOURS of jazz, see the dancers, and draw as much of it as I can.
